Dr. Patty Fleming was born and raised in Virginia near the Washington D.C. area. She received her undergraduate degree in sports medicine from the University of Virginia and her dental degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. She moved to Dallas in 2010 to complete her orthodontic training.
In order to stay current with innovations in dentistry and orthodontics, Dr. Fleming continues her education by participating in a Spear Study Club and by attending continuing education for advanced training in Invisalign®, Orthognathic Surgery, and to stay current with the newest orthodontic techniques.
She is also a member of several local and national dental societies, all of which allow her to stay current with her post-graduate education in dentistry and orthodontics:
Additionally, Dr. Fleming was nominated to become a member of several prestigious dental honor societies, including the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society, and the Gorgas Odontological Honorary Society.
Dr. Fleming married her dental school sweetheart, Brent, in 2011. They have three beautiful children: Harrison, Emery, and Cameron. Outside of the office, Dr. Fleming enjoys cooking, traveling, and staying active with activities such as running, yoga, and snowboarding.
Dr. Fleming is an active participant in the Garland community, and has served as a volunteer for the Texas Mission of Mercy, local health fairs, Pankey Dental access days, and the Special Olympics. She worked throughout the Baltimore community while in dental school, and even went on a dental mission to Vietnam with Operation Smile. She now supports local schools, communities, and nonprofits through the practice.
