Mark McClanahan joined RGT in 2008 with over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. As a recognized financial planner, he speaks on a variety of topics to groups across the North Texas area. Mark is also a financial source and published writer. He has been quoted by Money Magazine, The Dallas Morning News, Santa Barbara News-Press and the San Diego Union-Tribune. Mark has also written articles for CBS Market Watch, Mergers & Acquisitions Magazine, The Fort Worth Star-Telegram and D Magazine.
Professionally, Mark is a past president and chairman of the Dallas Fort Worth Financial Planning Association. He has also been honored by D Magazine as one of the best financial planners in Dallas and named a Texas Monthly Five Star: Best in Client Satisfaction Wealth Manager.
Always willing to share his time, Mark currently chairs the board of Collaborate Good, a non-profit organization. He is a former board member of Dallas Can Academy, the City of Dallas Urban Rehabilitation Standards and Reaching America’s Youth. He was one of 15 Texans recognized as “Heroes for Children” by the Texas State Board of Education for his work with at-risk teenagers. Mark has also served on the board of Fellowship Bible Church Dallas.
Mark is both a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional and a Chartered Financial Consultant®. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Kansas.
