Dr. William F. Tucker, Jr. is a founding partner of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine of Dallas, a true concierge style Orthopaedic practice. Dr. Tucker is an honors graduate of Vanderbilt University and earned his M.D. and completed his internship and residency at UT Southwestern Medical School. He completed fellowships at Rush-Presbyterian in Chicago and in Italy. He performs surgery at Methodist Hospital for Surgery in Addison and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas.

Many problems can be treated without surgery however, when surgery is indicated, state-of-the-art techniques, materials and implants allow patients the quickest possible return to their regular lifestyle and the best possible result. Dr. Tucker's areas of special interest and expertise are hip and knee replacement and revision surgery and arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder. He is fellowship trained in adult joint reconstruction and was the first orthopaedic surgeon in Dallas to perform minimally invasive total knee replacement. He performs minimally invasive hip replacement where appropriate as well.
Dr. Tucker lectures around the country instructing practicing orthopaedic surgeons in the performance of minimally invasive joint replacement and is a Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He is the author of numerous medical articles, is the orthopaedic editorial consultant to the Dallas Medical Journal, and serves on the medical board of Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. He is a clinical assistant professor at UT Southwestern Medical School.
