Dr. Supriya Thirunarayanan practices neurology and neurophysiology in Plano. She realized the immense gratification associated with patient care early on in life as she grew up watching her parents practice medicine. She is committed to the principle, “Patient care comes first.” Her fascination with the complex nervous system and her expertise help her deal with challenging patient problems with ease. She has a passion for treating patients with neurological disorders and a special interest in neurodiagnostic testing using nerve conduction studies to diagnose simple and complicated nerve-related problems. She interprets EEGs, sleep studies, and evoked potentials. Her other procedural skills include muscle biopsy, skin biopsy, and spinal taps. She loves to explore the patient’s clinical history in detail and believes every patient is entitled to a thorough neurologic workup to determine the underlying cause of symptoms, rather than treating symptomatically. “My practice philosophy is to provide compassionate care to patients and truly make a difference in their lives,” she says.
