Dr. Shelly Heidelbaugh practices General Internal Medicine, providing primary care for ages 18 and above. She has been practicing medicine since 1997. She joined Plano Internal Medicine in May 2016 from Southern California.

Dr. Heidelbaugh believes that each person is unique, and values relationships with her patients. Her mission includes providing the best possible health care at each visit. She combines experience and compassion with the latest medical information to empower each patient to achieve their maximum level of health and wellness.

Dr. Heidelbaugh is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association. 

Dr. Heidelbaugh earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus, in 1994. Postgraduate training was completed at The Ohio State University Hospitals. She graduated with Special Honors from The University of Texas at Austin with a BA in the Plan II Honors program. Dr. Heidelbaugh grew up in Texas and graduated from A & M Consolidated High School in College Station.

Outside of work, Shelly and her husband Todd enjoy watching their two children play sports and music, camping in the wilderness, volunteering with Scouting, and being active in church.
