Dr. Young, board certifi ed in plastic and reconstructive surgery, decided to pursue her career in plastic surgery in college when she worked with people who were physically challenged. “I wanted to restore function to people with paralysis or injury, restore form to people with deformities, and improve the body shape of those who felt troubled or bothered by their appearance,” Dr. Young says. “I care deeply for people and enjoy contributing to their happiness.” Dr. Young specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, including minimally invasive procedures. She is known for her excellent results in body restoration surgery following weight loss or pregnancy, breast reconstruction, and peripheral nerve surgery. She is one of the few surgeons in the area performing brachial plexus reconstruction and peripheral nerve transfers. Dr. Young is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. She has been named Doctor of the Year and is a recipient of the Patient Choice Award. “My goal is to enhance the quality of life of every patient,” Dr. Young says.
