Dr. Jacquelyn Means is a full-service OB/GYN known for providing thorough, compassionate, quality care to her patients. She enjoys developing personalized treatment plans and helping her patients achieve their healthcare goals.
As a proud St. Louis native, Dr. Means completed both her undergraduate and medical degrees at Washington University in St. Louis. Then she moved to Texas and completed her residency training at Parkland Hospital & UT-Southwestern. Dr. Means is now a partner at Plano Women’s Healthcare, an independent female-run private practice group based out of Medical City Plano. She was also elected as Chief of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Medical City Plano (2021-2022) where she oversees and ensures the highest quality obstetric and surgical care for the women of North Texas. As part of her Chief duties, Dr. Means developed her passion for promoting healthy, safe vaginal deliveries for first-time moms (when medically possible) and helped reduce her hospital’s overall C-section rate.
Dr. Means gives back to her community by serving as an executive board member of Hope’s Door New Beginnings Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending domestic and family violence in North Texas.
Away from work, Dr. Means enjoys spending time with her husband Tomas Alarcon, an attorney at a top global law firm in Dallas, and their beloved Cavapoo Pippi. The Alarcons enjoy laughing and traveling together, highly aspirational DIY projects, cooking great food with Mexican flare, and they are looking forward to starting a family together.
