Originally from New York, Dr. Aris Tsiakos earned his medical degree at the State University of New York Stony Brook Medical Center in 2003. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Saint Vincent’s Hospital in downtown Manhattan in 2007. Dr. Tsiakos completed the first two years of his Gastroenterology fellowship at Saint Vincent’s Hospital, before transferring to and completing his final year of training at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple,Texas in 2011.
Dr. Tsiakos is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is an active participant in multiple medical societies. Dr. Tsiakos joined the Plano Division of Texas Digestive Disease Consultants in 2011, and is currently on staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Plano. He performs a wide variety of procedures including endoscopy, colonoscopy, biliary procedures (ERCP) and pill capsule endoscopies. Dr. Tsiakos has a wide scope of interest including Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), Colon Cancer Prevention,
Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Hepatology (Liver Diseases).
In his free time, Dr. Tsiakos most enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Helen Kaporis (a DFW Metroplex Dermatologist) and their two young sons. Dr. Tsiakos is proficient in both Spanish and Greek.
