This is the perfect place for the mani/pedi addict who doesn’t have the time, energy, or cash flow to make it to a med spa on a regular basis, but can’t stand the monotonous routine of the hole-in-the-wall nail salons that abound in the ‘burbs. Owners Heidi and Scott have added all the luxury factors to an affordable menu of basic spa services. Manicures and pedicures (which run from about $15 to $45) come with complimentary wine handpicked from the wine bar next door. Tools are thrown away upon completion of each nail service, so sanitation (or the lack thereof) is not an issue. Pura Vida offers the latest in gel technology, too, including OPI’s Axxium and Creative Nail Design’s Shellac. A hidden gem of the place is Niki, the in-house esthetician. A 30-minute deep tissue massage from her will soon have you back in for the hour-long version.
