Swizzle

Profile

Enter through a bamboo-framed door into room of tropic whimsy: thatched grass wall paneling, rattan furniture, and nautical décor abound. Swizzle is unabashedly kitsch. And so it should be! The Lower Greenville drinking den is Dallas’ totem tiki bar where couples sip rum potions from hollowed-out pineapples and, two tables over, somebody’s flaming drink sparks with every dash of cinnamon. Swizzle predictably has a wonderful slate of the titular drink, which are sour-leaning elixirs vigorously stirred with the bar tool of the same name and over icy pebbles. Rum, port wine, and brandy-like aguardente are tempered by passion fruit and lime juice in the Pukiki Park swizzle. The food menu is a mix Filipino snacks and Hawaiian comfort food (think Spam stir fry, loco moco, and kalua pork sliders, and lumpia).
