Gallery owner Randall Garrett seems to know a thing or two about emerging art and how to nurture fresh talent. Plush was first conceived in 2000, showcasing future Whitney Biennial participants and other artists who went on to museum exhibitions here in Dallas, as well as LA and New York. Despite its relative success, the gallery closed in 2007, some thought for good. Fast-forward to late 2010, and Plush is back, surprising visitors with new artists (plenty of them local) and shows in a brand new space.
