Moudy Gallery

Category:

Profile

The Moudy Gallery is one of two spaces comprising the Art Galleries at TCU. (The other is the Fort Worth Contemporary Arts.) The galleries provide the school’s student body and other interested arts patrons with lectures, panels, and, of course, exhibitions. Of the two, the Moudy Gallery is most focused on education and opportunity. From the thesis work of MFA students to an annual exhibition of pieces from professors in the art department, the gallery’s primarily purpose is to display the art of TCU students and faculty. By exhibiting the works of up-and-coming student artists, the Moudy gives the public a glimpse of where the North Texas art scene could be heading. Occasionally the Moudy Gallery hosts shows of established, professional artists from around the world, and it’s the home of the annual Art in the Metroplex exhibition, where the top paintings, photographs, and sculpture are chosen from the 16 counties that make up Dallas-Fort Worth.
