In 1969, George and Mary Ann Kornye established their own art gallery, offering original works in academic and Impressionist styles. Now operated by their daughter, Paula Kornye-Tillman, the collection at Galerie Kornye maintains a somewhat equal balance of living artists such as Kirk Richards and 19th-century masters such as Edouard Leon Cortes. In addition to traditional art forms such as works on canvas and sculpture, the gallery carries a selection of antique furniture. Galerie Kornye also participates in a number of annual gallery walks and hosts several exhibitions each year.
