Choreographer Bruce Wood has been a force in the North Texas dance scene for ages. A Fort Worth native, he directed the Bruce Wood Dance Company from 1996 to 2007 until the company suddenly went under. The Bruce Wood Dance Project, now three seasons strong, continues his previous company’s committment to developing and premiering new work. In addition to a roster of talented male and female dancers, many of BWDP performances feature guest artists from the community. His most recent premiere, a beautiful, restrained all-male piece titled My Brothers Keeper, featured local talent ranging in age from 18-78, including Theatre Three’s Jac Alder, musician Gary Lynn Floyd, actor and top Iyengar yoga instructor Larry Lane, and former professional ballet dancer Tom Fowler.
