Sophisticated, sure-of-themselves women shop here when clothing becomes less of a statement and more of an extension of their personalities. Paulette Martsolf designs all of the Dallas-made clothing; a handful of handpicked textile designers sell scarves and shawls to compliment the fluid Allie Coosh look. Slow-to-wrinkle matching pant sets paired with boxy jackets adorned with odd-shaped wood buttons or long-sleeve wraps are abundant, and although everything on the floor is ready-to-wear, it can be tailored on-site. If you don’t see what you want, ask for it. With an atelier filled with fabric bolts, just about anything can be customized. One area of the shop is a gallery of sculptural jewelry hanging inside glass and wood cabinets. A beautiful bracelet made of silver scale-like links wraps around the wrist comfortably. Other standouts are hammered flat gold earrings inlaid with diamonds by Toby Pomeroy.
