Fort Worth’s Art on the Boulevard is a co-op gallery that displays the works of a stable of nearly 20 professional artists. From oils to acrylic to watercolors, art shown in the gallery is typically done on canvas or paper, and genres range from realism to abstract. To attain membership, artists have to submit work for review, and, if they’re selected, they are allowed to sell their art inside the gallery. As many as 100 pieces adorn the walls at any given time.
Each year, the gallery hosts six special shows—a pair of group exhibits in May and October, plus spring, fall, winter, and Valentine’s Day shows—which are all-day events that enable patrons to meet artists and mingle with other art lovers. Art on the Boulevard also offers a few workshops for those with a minimal background in art.
