When it comes to any and all things family law, Keeli Rule is the attorney to know. Board certified in family law, Rule is experienced in a full spectrum of divorce-related matters, including complex property division, custody, and enforcement. She has designed her boutique-style practice to provide each client with ample time and attention so they can work together to protect what matters most.
A trained mediator, Rule is often able to help her clients find solutions to their family law issues without ever stepping foot in the courtroom. She is also experienced in collaborative law, a non-adversarial approach to resolving divorce issues. These skills provide her clients with an even greater opportunity for favorable outcomes. However, when a case cannot be settled, Rule is a formidable opponent in the courtroom and is an aggressive and results-driven litigator. “I understand that divorce can be difficult, draining, and even traumatic,” Rule says. “I want to provide my clients with several options so they can choose the path that best suits their needs and situation.”
Formerly a partner with Godwin Lewis, P.C., Rule brings years of experience in all aspects of family law to her clients. She frequently works with local wealth management consultants in order to help clients organize and understand their financial situation during and after divorce. Rule also practices guardianship/probate law. Her experience in probate/guardianship law has been an asset for all clients who need assistance post-divorce, or with family members in the future. She is able to assist clients in revising or creating wills and/or trusts once their divorce is final. “Family law encompasses so much more than just the divorce itself,” Rule says. “I partner with my clients to strategize the next step so that they are as prepared as they can be for the next phase of their life. With my experience in guardianship/probate law, I am able to help clients plan for future family needs. When a client is focused on a divorce it is obviously overwhelming and they need an attorney that will lead them through that divorce and beyond.”
Rule has been named among the Best Lawyers in D Magazine and Super Lawyers in Texas Monthly. She is an author and speaker on a variety of family law topics. Rule is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and a member of the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists. She is licensed to practice by the Supreme Court of Texas and the United States District courts of the eastern, western, and northern districts of Texas.
