Dr. Rosen-Schmidt practices general neurology in Plano as a partner in Texas Neurology Consultants, LLP. A native Texan, she grew up locally in the Far North Dallas/ Richardson area. She graduated from J.J. Pearce High School in Richardson and from prestigious Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, with a 3.9 GPA. During her undergraduate years, she was elected to the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Honor Society. Wanting to return to Texas for medical school, she attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, and stayed at Baylor for her Neurology Residency and Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship. Dr. Rosen served as Chief Resident for 6 months.
Dr. Rosen holds multiple board certifications including:
• Adult Neurology (American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology)
• Clinical Neurophysiology (electrical diagnosis of seizure disorders utilizing EEG)
• Electrodiagnostic Medicine (diagnosis of nerve and muscle disorders utilizing EMG/ nerve conduction studies).
Dr. Rosen-Schmidt started her private practice in neurology in 2003. She has been active on the medical staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano, and is currently the Co-Medical Director of their Stroke Program. She has served as the Vice Chairman of Internal Medicine, and spent several years on the Internal Medicine Peer Review Committee. She also serves on the Professional Advisory Board of the DFW Epilepsy Foundation.
Dr. Rosen treats all neurologic issues, but has special interest in epilepsy, nerve and muscle disorders, movement disorders, and headache. She has been elected a Fellow of the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. She is considered an excellent diagnostician by local physicians. Patients often comment about the long time she spends with them and that she “really listens.” Dr. Rosen is first and foremost committed to providing excellent, thorough, and personal neurologic care.
