Originally from Switzerland, Dr. Lyotard is a third-generation Swiss dentist, who grew up watching her mother practice orthodontics and being exposed to her grandfather’s highly established dental practice in Geneva. Growing up around her mother’s practice, she was heavily influenced by her mother’s dedication to creating beautiful smiles and improving the development, function, and long-term health of her patient’s teeth. Additionally, being from a region known for producing the world’s finest watches, she was inspired by the rich Swiss tradition of precision and high quality craftsmanship
These influences left her with a deep belief that she should never settle for a particular level of mastery in any area of her practice, but should instead always view mastery as a mountain with no top and always seek to continue the climb. That belief drove her to buy her practice from a leading Invisalign expert in 2013. She did it just for the chance to learn even more about what she already knew and sharpen her Invisalign case planning skills. She did it even though it meant relocating to a completely different city in the process. In keeping with that same spirit she regularly travels 2-3 times a year to meet with other leading orthodontic experts and continually increase her knowledge level and depth of skill. Dr. Lyotard brings her broad skill set, developed from that endless climb as well as the passion inspired by her formative influences, to work with her everyday while caring for her patients. She does so, because she believes people with standards seeking genuine quality care deserve a professional and practice worthy of their business.
In 1997, our Dallas orthodontist, Dr. Lyotard, decided that the United States – known for its broad and diverse opportunities – was the right place to start her future. She received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University and went on to earn her Master of Science in Dentistry from Case Western Reserve University. She then received her Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics after completing a three-year residency program from Case Western Reserve in 2006. Following graduation, she joined a group practice in Houston, where she saw more than 1,200 patients complete their orthodontic treatment over the next seven years.
Dr. Lyotard purchased Highland Park Orthodontics in 2013. For two years she worked closely with the former owner, an experienced orthodontist who was recognized in the community for her skill and expertise with Invisalign. Dr. Lyotard is grateful that she had the amazing opportunity to be mentored by her predecessor in advanced Invisalign treatment planning techniques. Her extensive training allows her to offer the highest quality orthodontic treatment to her patients every day.
Our Dallas orthodontist, Dr. Lyotard, is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Dallas County Dental Society, and the American Association of Orthodontists.
