Experience. Integrity. Care. These values are at the forefront of Dr. Frederick Olden's practice. Dr. Olden sets the highest level of standards and treatment for his patients. Throughout his 25 years of service to the community, he has continually collaborated with colleagues and educated himself with the latest techniques and procedures.

When your gums become inflamed or infected, it's imperative you seek treatment before you get periodontal disease. Left untreated, it can spread to the ligaments and bone that support the teeth, sometimes causing your teeth to become loose and eventually fall out. Fortunately, Dr. Olden repairs this condition and is a skilled practitioner of the advanced laser technique that not all periodontists perform. In fact, Dr. Olden is one of only a few periodontists in the area who uses the PerioLase laser in his Rockwall and Dallas office locations. With the PerioLase, patients typically experience faster healing and less discomfort. "I don't use the PerioLase because it's easier or quicker," Dr. Olden said. "I invested in the equipment based on recommendations from my colleagues in Houston. I've had patients who have had the surgery done both ways, and they like the laser procedure much better than conventional surgery." In some instances, a patient's condition indicates they will benefit more from conventional surgery. "We evaluate each case individually," Dr. Olden said. "Sometimes we'll find the unexpected and have to do a procedure that is more extensive, but I always take the least invasive approach possible."

Many of Dr. Olden's patients seek out his expertise for cosmetic reasons. Over time, gums can recede and expose tooth roots and result in a "long tooth" appearance. "We're able to use the patient's own tissue to successfully cover exposed surfaces," Dr. Olden said. Dr. Olden has many years of experience with the precise placement of dental implants. He takes as much time with his patients as necessary to ensure they understand the recommended procedures.

With Dr. Olden's notable expertise, you will encounter an environment dedicated to providing the best periodontal care. He obtained his dental degree from the University of Texas at Houston and his M.S.D. from Baylor in Dallas. As a skilled dentist, he has maintained periodontal offices in both Preston Center in Dallas and in Rockwall. He was named a Best Dentist in D Magazine in 2005, 2007, and 2010. Find out how Dr. Olden can help restore your good dental health and appearance.
