Music Hall at Fair Park

Profile

Among the museums, gardens, and landmarks spread over Fair Park’s 277-acre campus is one of the oldest operating music and performance venues in the state. The Music Hall at Fair Park got its start in 1925 with a production of The Student Prince by Sigmund Romberg. Since then the venue has hosted countless musicals, concerts, lectures, and more. The Music Hall at Fair Park is most widely known as the home of Dallas Summer Musicals, which brings Broadway shows to DFW.

Since the ’50s, the Music Hall at Fair Park has undergone three major renovations to install air conditioning, new seating, improved acoustics, and room for a restaurant. The outside of the building was designed in the Spanish Baroque style, and five arcade porches throughout the hall afford views of Fair Park. Culinaire, the new operator of M Dining at the Music Hall, creates buffet menus specifically designed to complement the theme of the show, and a bistro has snacks and light fare available during intermission. The hall also has a full bar and a gift shop.
