Located near the Kimbell and Carter museums, the Fort Worth Community Arts Center is a 77,000-square-foot arts facility that provides a space for theater, dance, music, and poetry performances. The FWCAC stage hosts productions by local performing arts groups while the center’s nine galleries, which local artists can lease, display contemporary works with a regional focus. Past exhibits include Julie Lyon’s “Presidential Portraits” and pieces by the Texas Pottery and Sculpture Guild. The FWCAC also holds workshops, life-drawing sessions, and the Unleash heART series of after-school art classes for kids ages 7 to 15.
