Established in 2006, Fashion on Main’s primary purpose is the exhibition and interpretation of the history of fashion. Fashion on Main is the current exhibition venue of the Texas Fashion Collection, which is run by the University of North Texas’ College of Visual Arts and Design. The Texas Fashion Collection includes more than 15,000 historic fashions and accessories, which UNT has been collecting since 1972. Past exhibitions include “Painting the Town: 1920s High Style”; “Egyptian Elegance”; and “Minis, Maxis and Mods.”
