Profile

Ardell and David Zueger have run this gallery in the Design District since 1982, acquiring and selling a tremendously versatile and eclectic collection along the way. In a showroom that stretches for more than 8,000 square feet, patrons can browse through a selection of paintings, statues, sculptures, glass art, and other interesting pieces that could work well in both private collections and office buildings. The gallery frequently rotates featured artists and art periods to keep the collection fresh and interesting, even for loyal customers who frequent the gallery.

If you’re unsure of what you like, start small. The gallery offers a range of prints that are available for less than $50, as well as other affordable pieces to help start your collection.

The gallery also offers professional art consultation, delivery and installation, shipping, and custom framing services such as conservation, shadow box, and specialty framing. “We frame things for popes as well as presidents,” Ardell says. Every staff member at American Fine Art is a certified picture framer, and the gallery has worked with pieces by renowned artists from Picasso to Warhol.
