After the AMC Grand 24—the first megaplex in the United States—went under in 2010, Southern Theatres took over, cutting 10 auditoriums, updating the amenities, and renaming the place AmStar 14. Today, the screens are wall-to-wall, the seats rock, and every projector is digital (six with 3D capabilities).
