TITAS

Profile

Tony Adams and Gene Leggett started TITAS in 1982 as a not-for-profit organization that brought dance performers to Dallas. After the pair cultivated the success of their arts group for six years they decided to add music to their repertoire and TITAS hasn’t looked back since. The group presents an eclectic mix of artists that range from South Africa’s Soweto Gospel Choir and Philip Glass to American Ballet Theatre, Brazil’s Grupo Corpo, and the legendary tenor Jose Carreras.

In 2009, TITAS moved into the Winspear Opera House in the AT&T Performing Arts Center, holding most of its performances in the new venue with room to fit more than 2,000 patrons. Since its inception, TITAS has invited more than 300 international groups to perform in the Metroplex and offers ambitious education and outreach programs.
