The Peak Inn

Category:

Profile

There was a time when one of the best cheeseburgers in the city was under $7 with tax. When the world changed in 2020 and beef prices jumped, Peak Inn owner Joel Morales, who’s tended bar in the city for nearly two decades, ground bacon and brisket into his patties. The result—crowned with creamy slaw, chopped lettuce, and thick-cut pickles— was an instant hit. The burger, which is now just over 10 bucks and comes with fries, is still worth every penny (and bite).
