Dr. John Wallace is a native Texan, having spent most of his childhood growing up in Austin and Houston. He began his college education at 16 years old at the University of North Texas, enrolling in a statewide math and science magnet school called the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science (TAMS).

Upon completion of his high school requirements, Dr. Wallace transferred to the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Biology. He received his dental degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio, graduating Summa Cum Laude with honors in research. After earning his medical degree from the University of Southwestern Medical Center, Dr. Wallace completed both his general surgery and oral & maxillofacial surgery training at Parkland Memorial Hospital. He concluded his training with a fellowship in craniomaxillofacial and orthognathic surgery at the world-renowned Posnick Center and Georgetown University Hospital.

In 2006, he founded Dallas Oral Surgery Associates.

Dr. Wallace is the founder and director of both the Dallas Study Club and the Dallas Implant Guild. His clinical interests include dental implants, soft tissue and bone grafting procedures, and orthognathic/reconstructive jaw surgery.

Every year, Dr. Wallace travels the globe performing cleft lip and palate mission trips in several countries, including India, China, Guatemala, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. On a local scale, he partners with Watermark Urgent Care, providing his facility and free oral surgery procedures to Dallas residents in need of treatment.

Dr. Wallace lives in Dallas with his wife, Becca, and their five children.
