The dimly-lit sign might be difficult to spot on first visit, but take care not to miss this laid-back bar. Strangeways (named after the Smiths' final studio album, of course) offers a solid selection of beers on tap and an attractive clientele that runs that gamut from quasi-hipster to sorority sister. In warmer months, the patio out front is a delight, though you might witness a traffic accident. Venture inside, and you'll be treated to exposed brick walls and some of the best bar music in town. Free parking is available across the street in the La Michoacana parking lot.
