Children with severe disabilities and medical conditions spend five days in the Hill Country for a traditional camp experience designed specifically for them. Separated by age and sex, campers (ages 5 to 21 during most sessions) can participate in activities such as horseback riding, swimming, scavenger hunts, and karaoke around the campfire. Health care volunteers doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and others— accommodate medical conditions. The counselor-to-camper ratio ranges from 1-to-1 to 1-to-4, depending on needs. Siblings 13 and older can apply as counselors. Five-day camps are $1,500; financial assistance is available.
