You can’t hope for a nicer sales staff than the ladies employed at this 40-year-old favorite specializing in casual sportswear. Turtletique buyers like Pamela Cobb listen to what their customers want: easy-to-wear, comfortable separates. Locally designed Finley—wonderfully crisp button-down shirts in solids and patterns—is sold here alongside cardigans, pants, and tops by Kors Michael Kors, which mix in easily with an existing wardrobe. Jackets by Yansi Fugel are a decidedly cool counterpart to the quieter looks, but when you really want to add some va-va-va-voom to your ensemble, don’t overlook the amazing crocodile belts by Julia Easley. For $600, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better deal on this kind of high-quality exotic skin.
Update: Turtletique is closing September 15.
