While it’s not exactly in Dallas, it would be an obvious oversight to leave out what has come to be a boot-making institution. For almost a century, cowboys and wannabes come here for stellar handmade boots and saddles turned out by what’s considered the Hermes of Texas boots. Mr. Leddy’s grandson runs this family-owned business, and he takes serious pride in the made-to-measure process; they use everything from everyday leathers to exotic skins such as ostrich and crocodile. Clothing is also sold here, alongside engravable belt buckles, hand-tooled belts, chaps, and hats.
