Urbano Cafe is worth the drive if you don't live in East Dallas. The centerpiece of the lunch menu is the panini. At dinnertime, a small menu features rotating specials, many prepared with fresh produce from the Dallas Farmers Market. Try the salad of warm red and yellow tomatoes, pesto, blue cheese, and microgreens; a fettuccine dish with shrimp, crab, and white-wine butter sauce; and the peppercorn-mélange-dusted salmon.
