In recent years, this East Dallas institution has evolved from its roots as a north Vietnamese restaurant into something more global, ambitious, and idiosyncratic. Now Italian pastas sit alongside Vietnamese rice cakes, and local-produce-driven seasonal salads pair well with French white wines. Although the pandemic was tough for this little restaurant—a second location opened, struggled, and then quickly closed—the remodeled original location now has proper chairs with backs on them.
