Serving the needs of learning-different students for more than 30 years, Oak Hill Academy is dedicated to unveiling the magnificent mind of each student and nurturing his or her gifts, which might otherwise be hidden in a traditional classroom.
The heart of Oak Hill’s curriculum lies in its multi-sensory teaching strategies, individualized for each student. The school offers a dual-track instructional model for students with academic or social learning challenges of varying levels. The goal of both programs is to provide an academic and social-emotional foundation, which will prepare students for adulthood, whether through a traditional college education or alternative career path.
Guiding children ages three through high school with diagnoses such as ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, speech-language delay, sensory processing disorder, social communication disorder, and autism spectrum disorder, Oak Hill’s gifted and compassionate instructors help students discover an inner confidence and joy for learning. In addition to academics, on-campus specialists provide training for social competency, independent living, executive functioning, occupational therapy, speech therapy, music integration therapy, and play therapy. Combined with the curriculum, these therapies help students reach new social-emotional and educational heights.
Oak Hill Academy offers a pathway to success for students and a new hope for their families. Visit the school – with OT gym, science center and learning garden – to discover how Oak Hill Academy can help your learning-different child flourish.
