Now in its 30th year, The da Vinci School offers a well-rounded program with an emphasis on science for children from the age of 18 months through Kindergarten/primer. Science is the platform through which young children come to understand and respect our world, and it serves as a multi-disciplinary springboard. Young children have a tremendous curiosity about the world around them, wanting to know how things work and why things happen.
Educational and other developmental disciplines such as language and reading skills, math concepts, fine and gross motor development, literature, cognitive processes, practical life skills, music, art, and social development are incorporated daily, creating a well-rounded curriculum.
The school campus is a science lesson because of its LEED gold certification and accompanying “green” features.
All classes at The da Vinci School are small–from five or six students at the youngest ages to 12 to 14 children in Kindergarten with an aide. Teachers must have degrees and experience in education or child development.
In addition to its classroom program, The da Vinci School offers early afternoon enrichment activities such as yoga, karate, Spanish, creative drama and STEM. An array of parent education opportunities are available as well as a summer program.
