Throughout his career, Ruben has earned recognition for his dedication and expertise, including being named one of D Magazine’s Best Insurance Professionals five times.
A proud alumnus of the University of North Texas, Ruben holds three business degrees in Finance, Risk Management & Insurance, and Real Estate Finance. He began his professional journey as a Financial Planner with Fidelity Investments and Merrill Lynch before transitioning into the insurance field as an independent broker-owner. Today, he combines this extensive background to guide clients through the home-buying or refinancing process with confidence and clarity.
What sets Ruben apart is his unique perspective gained from working across both retail and wholesale lending channels. From starting at a retail bank to working with a correspondent lender, and ultimately mastering the more efficient and cost-effective wholesale lending model, Ruben leverages every facet of his experience to serve his clients better.
Ruben’s educational foundation and career path fuel his commitment to delivering thoughtful, tailored recommendations that help protect and enhance his clients’ financial well-being. Originally from Chicago, Ruben has called the Dallas-Fort Worth area home for most of his life. He currently resides in the Lake Highlands neighborhood of Dallas with his wife, Kate, and their two children, Reese and Harrison.
Deeply involved in his community, Ruben is an active member of his local church and a First Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Dallas Council. In his free time, he enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, supporting both Chicago and Dallas sports teams, and embracing life to the fullest.
