Mr. Clancy is a native Texan who began his legal career in 1992 as a prosecutor in the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office. During his time in the D.A.’s Office, Danny tried hundreds of criminal cases ranging from DWI to Capital Murder. It was during his time as a prosecutor that Mr. Clancy earned a reputation for being an excellent trial attorney who had a confident command of the courtroom. Mr. Clancy still carries that reputation with him today.
In 1998 Mr. Clancy was elected Judge of County Criminal Court #1. Danny was re-elected in 2002, and in 2005, he was appointed by The Governor of Texas to preside over Criminal District Court #6. In January, 2007, Danny, his father, Kevin Clancy, and his brother, Tim Clancy, joined forces, and eventually, The North Texas Law Offices, LLC were formed.
Today, Mr. Clancy, maintains a separate, private practice, representing individuals and businesses charged criminally in both state and federal court. Recently, Danny established The Clancy Law Group, a firm dedicated to serving the needs of individuals and businesses seeking to enter the medical marijuana marketplace.
