Angie's background as a former child abuse case worker and her judicial experience have led her to believe strongly in fair interest-based settlements in family matters. This philosophy has led her to the forefront of Collaborative Law, a divorce negotiation process in which the parties and their attorneys cooperate to keep the dissolution of the marriage out of the courthouse. Angie is now working to further the use of Collaborative Law around the United States by teaching the Interdisciplinary Model of Collaborative Law to lawyers, judges, mental health professionals and financial professionals in other states.
Angie's practice emphasizes complex property litigation and cases involving child-related issues. A primary goal of her practice is to minimize the negative impact of divorce on children, as evidenced by her serving on the board of directors of the Dallas Advocacy Center . Angie graduated cum laude from Texas A&M University in 1976, and cum laude from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1987. Angie's other passions are her family, travel, community volunteering, and singing in her church choir.
