
Dr. Stuart Akerman is a Board Certified Gastroenterologist with Digestive Health Associates of Texas (DHAT) and sees patients at his centrally located on Preston Road in Plano. Dr. Akerman was originally practicing in New York but relocated to Collin County, where he has been helping patients since 2015.
In addition to EGD/Upper Endoscopy and Colonoscopy, Dr. Akerman is fellowship trained in multiple advanced endoscopy procedures such as ERCP, Endoscopic Ultrasound, Fine Needle Aspiration, Cholangioscopy, and others.
Hemorrhoid treatments are now available both in-office and via sedation at his state-of-the-art Endoscopy Center (Digestive Health Center of Plano and Allen), as well as the introduction of Endoscopic Ultrasound exams now available at DHC. Additionally, Open Access Colonoscopy may be an option for eligible healthy patients.
