Steven M. Schatz, MD, began his medical career at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. He then moved to Dallas, Texas to complete his internship and residency at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas (BUMC) where he pursued his passion for surgery. He has remained in Texas to serve the needs of his patients stretching from Flower Mound to McKinney. Dr. Schatz's belief in making the surgical experience of patients more pleasant, less painful and having a better cosmetic outcome led him to concentrate in advanced laparoscopic procedures including robotic surgery. His other professional interests include biliary tract disease, GI tumors, complex hernia repair, and diseases of the skin and subcutaneous tissue. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf, attending sporting events, and spending time with his family. Dr. Schatz is currently welcoming new patients.
