Dr. Sadat Shamim was the medical director of the inpatient neurology service from 2009 to early 2017 which was recognized by US News and World Report. He also directs the Epilepsy program, the inpatient Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and the Neurophysiology department which is accredited by ABRET and is a member of the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC). He is an assistant clinical professor at Texas A&M University, is responsible for teaching students and residents, and is well published. Dr. Shamim has interests in epilepsy, movement disorders, stroke, and memory disorders. He sees most general neurological conditions in his outpatient clinic.
