Dr. Rima Khoury is board-certified in family medicine and has been practicing medicine for 20 years, spending the past 14 years as a physician of family medicine in Plano.
She is passionate about women’s health issues and preventative medicine. Dr. Khoury is a firm believer in the prevention of illness through a healthy lifestyle that includes proper diet and exercise, and she encourages her patients to be screened regularly for common life-threatening diseases.
Dr. Khoury is particularly passionate about screening for heart disease in women. She is an advocate for greater awareness and education about heart disease and the importance of early detection.
She received her undergraduate degree from American University of Beruit and attended the University of Jordan Medical School, where she received her M.D. She completed her residency in family medicine at the Fairfax Family Practice Center in Fairfax, Virginia.
Prior to joining Village Health Partners, Dr. Khoury worked at the Palo Alto Medical Center Urgent Care in Palo Alto, California, as well as two other family medicine practices in Plano.
She is married with two children and lives in Dallas, where she and her family enjoy staying active through outdoor activities. They also enjoy traveling, both across the country and abroad.
