Manish D. Assar, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.H.R.S. has joined Baylor Scott & White Cardiology Consultants of Texas.
Dr. Assar is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Cardiac Electrophysiology. His professional interests include catheter ablation for complex arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation, pacemaker and defibrillator therapy including biventricular resynchronization therapy for the treatment of heart failure, laser-assisted lead extraction, and evaluation of syncope.
Dr. Assar received his medical degree from the University California, San Francisco School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He completed a fellowship in Cardiology at Duke University Medical Center where he was awarded the Walter F. Floyd MD Endowed Fellowship in Cardiology Award, the highest recognition for clinical care given to a fellow by the faculty. Dr. Assar went on to complete a fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology at Duke and then completed an additional year of Electrophysiology at the University of Western Ontario in Canada.
Dr. Assar is on the medical staff at Baylor Heart and Vascular Hospital and Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas.
