John E. Conway, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon on the team of providers at Texas Orthopaedic Associates. He works with patients at the practice’s location in Fort Worth, Texas, and specializes in sports medicine with an emphasis on treating throwing injuries. 

After graduating from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, with a Bachelor of Science in biology, Dr. Conway went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He completed an internship in internal medicine at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, and an additional rotational internship at Fort Worth Affiliated Hospitals Program in Fort Worth. Dr. Conway stayed at Fort Worth Affiliated Hospitals for his residency in orthopedic surgery and then went on to the Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Inglewood, California, to complete a fellowship in sports medicine.

Dr. Conway is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. He’s an active member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, where he’s served in a number of leadership roles. 

Dr. Conway has worked with a number of professional sports organizations, including the Texas Rangers Major League Baseball club, where he served as the head team physician and the team orthopedic consultant. He’s also worked for professional organizations in golf, football, basketball, and rodeo.

Dr. Conway’s skills have been recognized by a number of respected institutions. He’s been named a top doctor by Castle Connolly Medical, US News & World Report, Best Doctors, Inc., and Texas Monthly Magazine.
