Dr. Jeffrey Lue specializes in shoulder and knee arthroscopy, and the treatment of sports-related injuries. His specialty includes arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, knee, elbow, and hip with an emphasis on advanced arthroscopic techniques. Dr. Lue grew up in Bergen County in New Jersey and enjoyed playing sports including baseball, basketball, golf, and tennis. Dr. Lue completed his undergraduate studies at New York University where he earned a B.A. in Biology and graduated with distinctions. Dr. Lue received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Following his residency, Dr. Lue was awarded a prestigious surgical fellowship in sports medicine at the Baylor Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. He trained with Dr. David Lintner, Dr. Walter Lowe, and Dr. Patrick McCulloch. As part of the fellowship training, Dr. Lue was an Assistant Team Physician to the Houston Rockets (Professional Basketball), Houston Texans (Professional Football), Houston Astros (Professional Baseball), Houston Dynamo (Major League Soccer), Rice University (College Football), and Manvel High School Football. Dr. Lue also served as a Sports Medicine Physician to the NASA Astronauts. Dr. Lue is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Outside of his fellowship, Dr. Lue enjoys playing golf and basketball, attending sporting events, travelling overseas, and spending time with his wife. Dr. Lue is also multilingual and speaks fluent Mandarin and Spanish.
