Jeffrey D. Kaplan, MD, FACC is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease. His professional interests include transesophageal echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac catheterization, and general cardiology.
Dr. Kaplan joins us with more than two decades of experience treating patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. He received a medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, where he earned the Zarren Family Award for Excellence in Clinical Cardiology. Following medical school, he completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, and served as Chief Medical Resident his final year. He then went on for his fellowship training in Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of California at San Francisco. He spent an additional year at UCSF training in two cardiovascular subspecialities – nuclear cardiology and transesophageal echocardiography.
