Dr. Fred Ghali, MD, founder of Pediatric Dermatology of North Texas, runs one of the few clinics in the nation that specializes in Pediatric Dermatology, representing an essential part of the dermatology care continuum within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Pediatric Dermatology of North Texas offices feature uniquely decorated exam rooms, sports memorabilia, arcade games, and a large fish aquarium to create a kid-friendly atmosphere where toddlers to teens can feel comfortable with their skin care treatments.
Since 2001, Dr. Ghali and his team at Pediatric Dermatology of North Texas have been providing children and adolescents a personalized, caring approach to skin care, working closely with referring pediatricians and sub-specialty physicians to ensure all patients receive optimal, well-coordinated care.
Dr. Ghali is board-certified in pediatric dermatology, general pediatrics, and general dermatology. He is an active fellow in both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Academy of Pediatrics, and serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at both UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and Baylor Medical Department of Dermatology in Dallas. He invests much of his time educating dermatology residents in Pediatric Dermatology.
Prior to starting his own private practice, Dr. Ghali served as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Dermatology at the UT Medical School in Houston, and Chief of Pediatric Dermatology at Cook Children's Medical Center, Ft. Worth.
Over the last 15+ years, Dr. Ghali has been a frequently invited speaker at local, state, and national CME-accredited conferences. He remains highly involved in the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, and has previously served in multiple positions including the Section of Dermatology with the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Board of Dermatology, Pediatric Dermatology Section.
Dr. Ghali participates in research opportunities and explores advancements and breakthroughs in Pediatric Dermatology. He is an author of more than 30 publications in peer-related journals involving Pediatrics and Dermatology and he serves as a reviewer for many dermatology journals, including Pediatric Dermatology and the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Ghali enjoys taking care of his patients and strives to build a trusting relationship with each and every family. Like every father, he strives to balance his faith, his family, and his work. He loves spending time with his wife and two sons. In his leisure, he enjoys both playing and watching a multitude of sports, particularly basketball and golf, and participating in local church activities. Dr. Ghali is co-founder of Camp Braveskin, a non-profit camp dedicated to children with chronic skin conditions. Established in 2003, this camp serves children of North Texas and surrounding communities. He treasures spending time with his wife and two sons, and enjoys playing and watching a variety of sports.
