Brian K. Cooley, MD is a board-certified gastroenterologist with more than 30 years of experience. His boutique-style practice enables Dr. Cooley and his staff to devote ample time to patients, providing them and their families with detailed explanations of their healthcare options.
Dr. Cooley is intentional about meeting the needs of his patients through focused care and service. Dr. Cooley sees patients for all digestive health conditions like stomach pain, hemorrhoids and acid reflux.
He is an expert in performing colonoscopy and endoscopy procedures as well preventative medicine and screenings for the detection of colon cancer.
Dr. Cooley’s goal in treating patients is to provide the highest quality of medical care possible while treating each person as an individual deserving of dignity and respect.

Dr. Cooley graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and received his medical degree from the University of Maryland in Baltimore.
In 1982 Dr. Cooley moved to Texas, trained in Internal Medicine at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, and received his Gastroenterology training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Dr. Cooley is passionate about serving the community by offering preventive medicine and educational programs to those in need. He has been in private practice in Plano since 1988, where is proud to have raised his three beautiful daughters.
Dr. Cooley is a founding member of Digestive Health Associates of Texas.
