Andrew R. Gottesman, M.D.

Dr. Andrew Gottesman is a gastroenterologist at Cooper Clinic, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of digestive diseases affecting the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, liver, gallbladder and pancreas. Following graduation from Vassar College with a Bachelor of Arts, Dr. Gottesman earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, and completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Louisville. He subsequently completed specialty training in Gastroenterology at the University of California, Irvine in 1992.

Prior to joining Cooper Clinic, Dr. Gottesman practiced for more than 30 years as an independent gastroenterologist in Dallas, Texas. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Gastroenterology. He is a member of the Dallas County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association and the American College of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Gottesman has been named a Best Doctor by D Magazine annually since 2006. He has also been named a Texas Super Doctor and Medstatix top performer over the past several years.
